I am a worker of the local telephone center. I am responsible for repairing all small malfunctions that can appear in the server room. Basically my duties are to monitor if everything is working in the server room properly. Now I have few days off because of some makeovers that are taking place there. Some firm is replacing old devices and cabinets with a brand new stuff. They were supposed to finish all the works by now but there is a delay and they did not finish mounting wall mounted cabinets. This is a serious problem to us that will end up with some financial cuts. As I know the firm will not get money for working extra hours due to the fact that they did not finish their work on time. The firm was given one extra week to finish installing of the wall mounted cabinets but they will not get any money for that as they have already broken the terms of the contract. My boss gave me an extra week off so now I am planning to use this chance to visit my sister in Europe. I heard that managers of the network company are very disappointed about how things are going. It is also said that due to the delays many of the inhabitants of our city are having problems with their telephones. It is highly possible that because of the incompetence of the firm the network company will lose a lot of money. Well it is not my problem and I think that I should enjoy my trip to Europe.
